Minister Dith Tina Leads Meeting to Review the 2024-2026 Digital Government Transformation Action Plan

Phnom Penh, July 3, 2024 – On the morning of July 2, 2024, Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, chaired a meeting to review the 2024-2026 Digital Government Transformation Action Plan at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.

During the meeting, Minister Dith Tina instructed the monitoring and evaluation team to ensure that this action plan is implemented on time. He emphasized that timely execution is crucial for all sectors, facilitating agricultural work as well as the activities of commune agricultural officers in various provinces.

Moreover, the Minister encouraged the promotion of digital research in agriculture, cultivation, and the practical application of satellite imagery related to the agricultural sector.

He also highlighted the importance of innovation, particularly in enhancing digital security (Cyber Security), to ensure the effectiveness of agricultural programs, websites, and the provision of public services. He stressed the necessity of ownership, leadership, and clear strategies.

The purpose of this digital technology meeting was to increase work efficiency and build confidence in the provision of public services through digital means to support agricultural development and improve the livelihoods of farmers.
